A naïve yet classic Qashqai carpet from the Zagros mountains area of Southwest Persia. The deep indigo-blue field is dominated by two diamond-shaped medallions, each of which is inscribed with talismanic symbols for good luck and protection from evil. The rest of the field is replete with birds and flora. The outer border is a beautiful conglomeration of bold stars.
