This Shiraz carpet is made by tribal nomads in an around the villages of Shiraz in south west of Iran.

Shiraz is a city of a thousand gardens, famous for its roses and nightingales which have been often
celebrated in the poetries of famous poets like Hafiz and Saadi.

The dyes used are all-natural and vegetable dyes.

It has a very nice and beautiful a brush, rose madder and indigo dye which is highlighting the carpet.

This carpet has an unusual design with geometrical motifs. Some of these motifs include talismanic charms such as evil eye motif (which is a diamond-shaped design), Star constellation designs (as they believe in the cosmic world). They sometimes also use fertility symbol such as the ramhead design (he most virile creature in the world).
