This oleograph published by the Ravi Varma Press depicts Dattatreya. The oleograph depicts a painting by Raja Ravi Varma of the same name. We can see Dattatreya; the incarnation of the Trimurtis comprising Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwara. The three heads on the deity symbolise the powerful Gods and it is believed they have given themselves in the form of a son to the sage couple Atri and Anusuya. The deity has Vishnu's Shankha, Shiva's Trishul and Brahma's Kamandalam (pot of water) while surrounded by four dogs believed to represent the Four Vedas, and a bull.
