A Shirvan Marasali region carpet from the Caucasus mountains region of present-day Azerbaijan. The undyed ivory white field is drawn with a diamond-shaped lattice, where each panel is inscribed with floral iconography. Random talismanic icons have been playfully inserted into the filler spaces of the weaving. An abstract floral wide border frames the ivory-white field.
