The current lot was gifted by the artist to The Sanjan Nagar Public Education Trust (SNPET), established in 1995 in Lahore with the aim of providing free education to marginalised children. The current work by M F Husain was sold to benefit the Trust's mission to expand their educational facilities, thus enabling them to extend their outreach.

Husain, a long-time believer and supporter of the SNPET vision created this particular work on a classroom blackboard when he visited their facilities in Lahore in November, 2004.
