"Growing up in a tiny suburb of Kolkata, I spent my days drawing, fuelled by the wonderment of Nature around me. As my school years rolled by I would pass by Mother Teresa???s orphanage every day, little realising that these everyday visuals would continue to play out in my work so many years later. I found myself drawn towards the black and white tones of charcoal, whose tones held more truth and posed a challenge that colour did not. As I continued to express myself, my version of Mother Teresa slowly appeared with a hint of a new colour ??? blue."
