About Madhvi Parekh - Limited Edition Serigraphs

Madhvi Parekh’s art reads like a memoir. The self-taught artist has often turned to her home in Gujarat, finding inspiration in its stories and folk art style, and transported those memories into vivacious pictorials. At the same time, she’s adopted elements of modern art practices and infused them with her child-like decorative paintings, creating a hybrid narrative that is unique, as it is rich.
This collection of silkscreen prints features some of Parekh’s known works, like “Last Supper”, “Christ”, “The Goddesses” and many more. Parekh’s signature practice of enshrining and magnifying her main subject, while filling hieroglyphic-like details in its periphery, is palpable throughout this series of serigraphs.
