Leonard Raven-Hill was a prominent British illustrator and cartoonist associated with Punch magazine. This collection offers a visual and narrative account of Raven-Hill's experiences during his visit to India, particularly focusing on the 1903 Delhi Durbar—a grand event commemorating the coronation of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra as Emperor and Empress of India.

Raven Hill was a very famous painter who made many sketches of Indian people in the British Era in 1910. There are many sketches of Indian peoples inside this book, with a number of prints depicting Sikh Akali Nihung Warriors and Sikhs, among other illustrations.
