A handsome nomadic Kurdish carpet from Northwest Persia. The field contains two bold diamond-shaped medallions with serrated edges. The camel coloured field is dotted with numerous shapes and forms with origins in local flora and fauna and various talismanic symbols. Three narrow borders frame the field and each of them is decorated with a scrolling vine. The carpet shape is endearingly uneven, likely representing the work done over various nomadic migrating seasons.
