Khamir is a platform for the crafts, heritage and cultural ecology of the Kutch region of Gujarat. Instituted after the earthquake of 2001, it is a space for engagement and development of Kutch's rich creative industries.
The lacquered wooden kalash is a unique creation of the late master artisan Vadha Sungar Sanya. The only lacquer artisan from Zura, Kutch, he belonged to the Vadha community practicing the lac-turn-wood craft of Kutch for generations. This Kalash is particularly striking because of its kaleidoscopic design showing up rainbow colours that present anew each time.

Keep away from abrasives and the deepwater soaks.
Wipe with a clean dry cloth to remove dust.
