Translated into English verse by Marjorie Boulton and Ram Swaroop Vyas with a foreword by Jawaharlal Nehru and Introduction by G P Johari.

The rare and only UK edition of Bachchan's verse was inspired by Omar Khayyam. The original Hindi version was published in 1935. Bachchan was a prolific poet and writer and among the early proponents of the New Poetry movement in Hindi.
