Kamlesh Kumar Roy was born in 1986. He completed his B.F.A. at Chandigarh and a two year course from Mithila Art Institute. He has participated in a group exhibition at Habitat Centre, New Delhi, and in the workshop "Arts In India". His paintings have been published by Tehelka magazine, Times of India and Indira Gandhi National Open University.
