a) SPIDER WITH WEB:
Japani Shyam has taken inspiration from a Gond legend. The gonds believe that long ago the Earth was covered with water. So Lord Shiva took the help of a spider to create land . He requested the spider to spin a web and place soil over the web to create land.

b) TREE OF LIFE:
Art of the Gonds is inhabited by the world of Trees & animals, although each artist's aesthetics are distinct. Japani Shyam, almost seems to capture the eco systems in which animals survive; her works are denser, they are reproductions of the worlds that animals and plants survive in. This work is one of her brilliant tree of life works.
