Utsav is a drama film produced by Shashi Kapoor and Directed by Girish Kamad. Featuring Rekha, Shekhar Suman and Amjad Khan, who is also the narrator of the film, the period film is an adaptation of the Sanskrit drama Mrcchakatika which tells the story of a courtesan called Vasantsena, played by Rekha.
