A MUSICAL TEA SET

Made of chrome plated brass, this tea set is an unique and delightful find. Much in the fashion of the traditional music box, the teapot is fitted with a small winding mechanism at the base. This is accompanied by a lever and three rubber fittings on which the teapot stands so as to support the winding mechanism. Once wound, the teapot will begin to play music as it is lifted off a table or resting surface and will cease to play once it is replaced onto the surface. This is made possible by the lever which extends when the teapot is lifted and depressed when set down. Once the tune has come to an end , one need just rewind and enjoy the music from the beginning.
